Rationale and Purpose:
 

An essential part of being a successful language teacher is mastering the effective integration of some technology tools for language teaching and learning. The goal of this course is to help teachers understand the important principles and applications in CALL to support, reinforce, teach, test, and enhance teachers’ classroom lessons and activities while fostering the learners’ 21st-century skills.
 

By the completion of this training program, teachers will be able to:

 

• Develop an overall understanding of the foundation of CALL and its application.
• Describe and use a variety of CALL technology tools and software.
• Inquire into areas of program-related interest such as instructional design and education technology.
• Develop scholarly habits of curiosity, inquiry, skepticism, and data-based decision making.
