This Academic Part-Time Program Is For
- international students who want to improve their English language proficiency to the level needed to pursue education in English speaking universities. It is tailored to meet the needs of students who have a time for a short-term program
Curriculum
- Develop your overall English proficiency in all skill areas
- Participate in Integrated Skills classes in 1 of 6 instructional levels:
- Foundation Level of English
- Elementary Level of English
- Low Intermediate Level of English
- High Intermediate Level of English
- Advanced Level of English
- Proficient in English
- Take skills courses at your individual language level in speaking and listening, academic writing, and reading and vocabulary
- Develop your 21st century skills for global competency and intercultural communication including collaboration, social interaction, communication, problem solving, critical thinking.
- Participate in activities such as team research projects, guest speakers, and virtual field trips
Class schedule:
4 Hours a week/ 32hrs totalClasses for this course meet virtually on Zoom twice a week intwo different days from 8:00AM to 10:00AM, or from 10:AM to 12:00PM EST with a 5-minute break (the time and dates can be adjusted according to the majority of the students' needs). During the 2021 spring II term, different sessions will be offered from February 22 to March 17 and from March 22 to April 14.

2hours Reading & Writing every week.
During the rest of the week, students will have access to daily interactive activities to do online individually and in groups.
12 Hours a week/ 48 hrs totalStudents meet virtually on Zoom 4 times a week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 10:00AM to 1:00PM EST with a 10-minute break (time can be adjusted according the students' needs). During the 2021 spring II term, one session will be offered from June 1 to June 25.Every week students will have:6 hours Speaking & Listening6 hours Reading & WritingDuring the rest of the week, students will have access to technology software to engage on daily interactive activities. Students will work remotely individually and in groups.
